The route today is "Salzburg - Bad Ischl - Hallstatt - Ferry to Hallstatt village", the way to Bad Ischl is really gorgeous, every second is breathtaking view, I didn't feel tired or sleepy even it's long way, just stared at outside of window...I felt satisfied. It make me decide to come back here one day, it had better rent a car to travel here slowly. The morning valley was really unreal as painting, especially, it was raining last night, so there were some mountain mist around. Arrival Bad Ischl, I can choose to take train or another bus, I wanna reach Hallstatt as soon as possible, so chose to take train. Getting up the train, and had a rest. Suddenly, the huge valley came to my eyes, and there is a huge lake between, and I noticed there was a village not far away on the opposite side of lake, " That is Hallstatt!!" I think. The train stopped in few mins, really small station, down to the jetty, the ship was coming soon, took around 10 mins to the village. I spent around a hour to walk in village, took a lof of pics and had lunch on the lakeside. It is life, slow down, quiet place and take with nature.
I walked to another side of village, not much ppl there, and I found a stair to get up the mountain, around one more hours, on the way, I saw many different view of the valley and lake, I haven't done this kind of hiking for a long time, it made me a bit tired, but definitely worth it! In the end I reached the gondola station which in the middle of mountain, there are restaurant and UNESCO view! And looks like there is way to go up to the top of mountain, the sigh show it's around 2 more hours, unfortunately, I had no enough time to do it...Next time I will live in village, then I will have time to do all the trekking!
Water in Konigssee is cleaner, but the lake in Hallstatt is much bigger. In my opinion, it's two different places, If possible, I would like to visit these two places again in the future, especially, doing the full trekking. I really love the feeling to overlook the valley, just amazing and satisfied my soul! :)
