The great pyramid of Giza is one of The seven wonder of Ancient World, also the only one still exist, all of others destroyed. I have been in Temple of Artemis, only few rocks and one small pillar left. The biggest pyramid Giza ( also known as Khufu), made around 2580- 2560 BC. More than 4,500 years!!! It was the oldest archeological stuff I have ever thing!!! There are three big pyramids in this area - Great Pyramid of Giza, Pyramid of Khafre, Pyramid of Menkaure, and some small pyramids for queens around, also....Sphinx!!!
I went to Giza with friends met in Hostel (One guy we traveled together for two weeks already). We took metro from downtown to Giza station and transferred to Giza pyramid, it is a little bit far from metro. Started from metro station, there are always some people wanna cheat on us, fortunately, we checked information on internet already. Actually, everyone need to be attention when traveling in Egypt, everything could be over charge, even food or drink. This area is a little big huge actually, under this serious weather, sun is so strong. I put on the hat even don't really like to wear it. We reach the path toward to the edge of pyramid, few Egyptian asked us for ticket, we read it before, they will ask for buying fake ticket, so just ignored them. Climbed up a little bit to the entry to inside of pyramid, it charge another 100 ponds, we gave up of it. We walked around this region for 2 hours, definitely the place Must See in our life!
Another day, I visited the Egyptian Museum, really impressed me....it's like a warehouse rather than museum! Most of place has no A/C, it is important to historical stuff. only royal mummies rooms have. Things looks like not really organized and some containers on the way.... but still worth to visit, there are a lot of ancient Egyptian archeological stuff, especially, mummies and the mask to Tutankhamen. Mummies are really interesting experience to me, their hair, nail and skin are still exist and obvious to see! Their meat still looks like jerky after 3000 years... it's incredible technology. Mummies room charge 100 ponds extra, but I think it's really worth to pay it, anyway, there are not many chances to see thousands' years mummies in other places.
